If you happen to live in the Cleveland, Ohio; Maple Heights, Ohio; or Cuyahoga County, Ohio area, chances are that you’ve heard the name E. F. Boyd & Son more than a few times. E. F. Boyd & Son Funeral Home is not only one of the oldest African American businesses in the greater Cleveland region, but one of the greatest supporters of community activities in the area. E. F. Boyd has helped sponsor numerous events around Cleveland throughout the years. This coming month, E. F. Boyd will sponsor one of Mayfield Heights‘ Music in the Park nights on July 3rd. E. F. Boyd & Son urges all of the area seniors to stop by for a night of music, dancing, and good times.
Beginning on June 12th, the 2012 Music in the Park series has a different live musical act every Tuesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Whether you like polka, classical, or Motown, chances are there is something for everyone to enjoy! Although the event is thought of as a fun community activity for the seniors living in the Maple Heights area, citizens of all ages are encouraged to attend. The Music in the Park series is free to all and food may be purchased from B&M Bar-B-Que and Catering. Yum! The Music in the Park series is held at Dunham Park when the weather allows it. In the event of rain the concert will take place in the Maple Heights Senior Center.
Knowing that participating in local activities and events will help bring joy to the lives of Cleveland locals, E.F. Boyd & Son is sponsoring the Music in the Park event on July 3rd featuring musical act Soul’d OUT. Founded in 2002, Soul’d OUT is an eight piece ensemble that has made quite a name for itself throughout the state of Ohio. Soul’d OUT performs popular songs from the Motown era, dance music from the 60s to the 80s, and even pop hits from today. The members of Soul’d OUT love what they do, and their performances show it! Not only are the vocals and instrumental section impressive, but Soul’d OUT also choreographs their own dance routines. Local seniors will not want to miss out on this fun performance!
