Though it may seem hard to believe that the month of January has already flown by, it won’t be long before we’re looking back at February too. With that being said, it wouldn’t hurt to take this opportunity to check out some of the things to do around Summit County, Ohio; Stark County, Ohio; and Cuyahoga County, Ohio in March. There are all kinds of St. Patrick’s Day events going on in the Northeast Ohio region this month, which means your family has a number of live performances to choose from! For instance, if you’d love to see an authentic Irish dance show in person, you’ll be pleased to learn that students from MacConmara Academy of Irish Dance will be performing at several different venues over the coming weeks. With everything that the students from this local dance studio have accomplished, you won’t want to miss out on a chance to see these talented performers on stage!
After their recent participation in the regional competition that took place in Minneapolis this past November, MacConmara Academy of Irish Dance is proud to announce that two of their students—Kallie Hodgkiss from Archbishop Hoban High School and Casey Murray from Jackson High School—will be going to Montreal to compete in the World Irish Dancing Championships! As these competitions feature the very best of the best, it’s obvious that MacConmara Academy of Irish Dance is home to a number of extremely gifted students. Needless to say, watching one of their live performances is truly a sight to behold!
As far as catching one of MacConmara’s Irish dance shows, individuals from throughout the Northeast Ohio region will have several opportunities. If your family is looking for things to do around the Summit County, Stark County, or Cuyahoga County area this March, it may interest you to know that students from this local dance studio will be participating in a handful of St. Patrick’s Day events near the Akron area. Throughout the month of March, MacConmara Academy of Irish Dance will be at the Hibernian Club on Brown St as well as the location on Main St. On the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day, MacConmara’s students will be in the Akron parade before putting on a live performance at the Barley House. And as for St. Patrick’s Day events on the day in question, performers from this local dance studio will be participating in an Irish dance show at the Barley House as well as Legends Sports Pub & Grille. More events are sure to come, so keep an eye out on MacConmara’s website for their updated calendar!
After seeing one of MacConmara’s live performances this March, you’ll undoubtedly be impressed by what the students from this local dance studio can do! If seeing one of their Irish dance shows sparks your child’s interest (or even your own), new students are always welcome. A new youth class will start on Saturdays at 10AM, and adult classes will take place on Mondays at 8PM.
