This week, Manda’s Plant Farm has a couple of neat gardening specials that you can stop in for. If you’re an Echinacea lover, come by Manda’s Plant Farm for the featured plant of the week—cone flowers. You can purchase one of these pretty plants to put in your garden, flower pot, or wherever! Just don’t forget to bring a dog treat! As a way of celebrating Bruce’s 2nd birthday, Manda’s Plan Farm is running a special of $5 off your total purchase when you bring in a chew toy, treat, or other doggy approved gift. So stop by Manda’s Plant Farm this week to wish Bruce a happy birthday and get a new plant for your flower bed.
Not doing anything the day of July 4th? Visit Manda’s Plant Farm before the fireworks and take a look at their selection of chemical free plants. If you happened to have lost your zucchini or cucumbers due to the stifling heat we’ve been having, Manda’s Plant Farm still has a few vegetable plants left in stock so you can do a second planting. You can also take a look at the brand new pond liners and pottery that Manda’s Plant Farm is now offering. Manda’s will be open on Independence Day during their normal hours for your convenience.

Manda’s Plant Farm also has some upcoming events that they’re very excited about! Coming soon, Manda’s Plant Farm will have a new greenhouse on the property. So the next time you stop by, you may just have to check out the new space to see what plants will be calling it home! In fact, you should plan on stopping by sooner rather than later because the Manda Money that you earned on purchases earlier in the season is redeemable now through August 31st!
And for all of you with green thumbs (again, not ACTUALLY green), Manda’s Plant Farm is holding a special gardening contest. For those of you unfamiliar with Colocasia gigantea, it is a truly massive plant found in the tropical areas of Asia. The ‘Thailand Giant’ grows extremely fast and can reach a height of nine feet in the wild! The object of the contest is to see who in the Massillon, Canal Fulton, North Lawrence, Jackson Township and surrounding areas can grow the biggest leaf. The judging will be held on October 1st and the winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Manda’s Plant Farm. So if you think you have what it takes, head over to Manda’s now because she’s already got some ‘Thailand Giants’ started for you!
