Those who plan on doing some steelhead fishing this coming season are encouraged to join Rodmakers Shop at the 23^rd annual Steelhead Expo at the Rocky River Nature Center in North Olmsted, Ohio later this month. This upcoming fishing expo provides steelhead enthusiasts with the opportunity to get fly fishing, spin fishing, and center pin fishing tips from a number of steelhead experts. Residents throughout Parma, Ohio; Middleburg Heights, Ohio; and beyond can also obtain fishing tackle from some of the area’s most reputable establishments, including Rodmakers Shop. Needless to say, this upcoming event is the perfect way to kick off the steelhead season.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Steelhead Expo, this annual event provides anglers with a full day of seminars and activities focused on this sport fish. Sponsored by Ohio Central Basin Steelheaders, the fishing expo at the Rocky River Nature Center in North Olmsted is free to all who wish to attend. Residents throughout the Parma and Middleburg Heights areas are encouraged to take advantage of everything this event has to offer, especially if they’re interested in learning helpful techniques from seasoned steelhead experts, or purchasing new fishing tackle.

Beginning at 9 AM on Saturday, September 24^th, the 23^rd annual Steelhead Expo will feature several interesting discussions from local steelhead experts, including an update of Ohio’s 2016-2017 steelhead fishery by O.D.N.R. representatives. Other topics will include “Gearing up for Steelhead,” “River Basics,” “Fly Fishing for Great Lakes Steelhead,” and “Center Pin Fishing for Steelhead.” The seminars that will take place at this upcoming fishing expo will prove beneficial for beginners as well as those with significant experience in steelhead fishing. The fly fishing, center pin fishing, and spin fishing tips offered by these experts will undoubtedly help in making this season the most successful one yet.

In addition to the seminars that are scheduled throughout the day, the Steelhead Expo will also feature food and a tackle raffle. The raffle will include donations of rods, tackle, fly fishing accessories, and more from manufacturers as well as local retailers like Rodmakers Shop. Those who are interested in purchasing new fishing tackle can also visit one of the many booths that will be set up at the expo.
