Scott Talbot Salonspa Will Be Hosting a Community Fundraiser This May to Help Stark County, Ohio’s Youth

With two convenient salon locations in Canton, Ohio and Akron, Ohio, Scott Talbot Salonspa is frequently visited by individuals in search of a new look. However, this nearby business does much more than just hair styling and makeup application. The salon technicians and support staff at Scott Talbot Salonspa go out of their way to assist the community in any way they can, such as organizing local events to benefit those in need. In the coming months, Scott Talbot Salonspa will be preparing to host a community fundraiser for a non-profit organization that’s dear to their hearts—the Be A Better Me Foundation. This organization was created by Officer Lamar Sharpe to provide youth programs for children and teenagers throughout the Stark County, Ohio area. The goal of the Be A Better Me Foundation is to empower young residents and encourage them to see the good in themselves as well as others. Only with support from local businesses, community leaders, and individuals can the Be A Better Me Foundation continue their mission, which is why Scott Talbot Salonspa is doing their part to help.

This coming May, Scott Talbot Salonspa will be hosting a community fundraiser for the Be A Better Me Foundation in order to raise money for the various youth programs this non-profit organization offers throughout the year. This local event will feature prizes and food donated by other establishments in Stark County, including some of the area’s most popular restaurants. Those who frequent Scott Talbot’s salon in either Canton or Akron are welcome to contribute to this upcoming event by dropping off donations during their next visit. In addition to monetary donations, Scott Talbot Salonspa will also be accepting submissions for the auction. All proceeds from the community fundraiser will go toward sponsoring the Be A Better Me’s youth programs, such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Backpack Drive, Winter Coat Drive, Stuff the Cruiser Toy Drive, and Fishing with Officer Sharpe.

Knowing how important it is for adolescents to see the value in themselves and others, Scott Talbot’s salon technicians and support staff encourage local citizens to take part in the upcoming community fundraiser. The youth programs organized by the Be A Better Me Foundation not only allow participants to enjoy fun and educational outings, but form positive relationships with quality mentors from various professions.
