Despite advancements in the field of canine physical therapy, most members of the veterinary community don’t offer canine rehabilitation treatments to patients. When dogs are brought in after exhibiting signs of pain and discomfort, the usual course of action is to prescribe pain pills or other oral supplements. Unfortunately, these treatment options may only mask the symptoms instead of addressing the actual problem. Combined with dog rehab, however, such medications can help promote movement in pets that suffer from arthritis or have recently undergone surgery. As one of few local vet practices that offers rehabilitation services for their four-legged patients, Belpar Pet Care Centre has proven to be an excellent resource for pet owners throughout the Massillon, Ohio; North Canton, Ohio; and Alliance, Ohio areas. In addition to developing a custom exercise program for each dog that’s brought in for rehab work, the staff members at Belpar strive to educate owners about the various aspects of this service.
