As you may or may not know, March 1st of this year marked the 16th year of Read Across America Day. This national commemoration is celebrated by teachers, school administrators, librarians, students, members of the National Education Association (NEA) and, of course, organizations like Huntington Learning Center. While Read Across America Day has since passed, this well-known educational facility, with locations all over the country, continues to stress the importance of reading. In fact, Huntington Learning Center’s reading tutors do everything they can to make reading fun so they can help improve the reading skills of their students. However, Huntington wants parents to know that they can help their children at home as well. That’s why they’ve compiled a brief list of reading tips for parents and guardians to use in order to get their kids reading! By applying these strategies in your own home, as well as acquiring tutoring help from Huntington, your child will be able to climb up the reading ladder in no time!
