With its helpful staff and state-of-the-art facility, The Massillon Gun Range at AJ Harris Tactical has proven to be a popular spot for firearms users throughout the Bolivar, Ohio and Dover, Ohio areas. Those who haven’t had the opportunity to visit this local gun range will be pleased to learn that a number of shooting events are scheduled for the coming weeks. Individuals wanting to qualify for a CCW license can take advantage of the courses available at this local establishment, while first-time shooters may want to sign up for one of AJ Harris’ firearm safety classes. Residents throughout the greater Canton, Ohio area can even learn valuable self-defense techniques by participating in the Personal Protection course provided by AJ Harris Tactical, Alex Lanshe, and the Well Armed Woman of Stark County.

The Massillon Gun Range at AJ Harris Tactical is committed to providing residents throughout the Canton area with the training and equipment necessary to become a safe and competent firearm user. The most effective way of accomplishing such a task is by offering a number of firearms safety classes to interested individuals. In addition to their basic courses which are geared toward new gun owners and those looking to hone their skills, this local gun range offers a qualifying class for those wanting to obtain their CCW license. The next CCW class will take place on September 17^th from 8am-4pm, and interested individuals are encouraged to sign up early. A modest, $65 fee includes the class, certification, passport-size photo, application, donuts, and coffee. An additional $35 is required for gun and ammo rental.

Those who already have their CCW license or are uninterested in obtaining one at this time may want to look into some of the other shooting events that will take place over the next few weeks. Residents throughout the Bolivar and Dover areas frequently take advantage of the recreational activities offered by The Massillon Gun Range at AJ Harris Tactical, including the IDPA league meets, zombie shoots, ladies’ nights, and bowling pin shoots. The next IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) meet-up is scheduled for August 27^th from 7pm-8pm. Female visitors can use the gun range for free after 5pm by taking advantage of Ladies’ Night every Wednesday. Those who want to make target practice a little more fun can also sign up for AJ Harris’ next zombie shoot on September 6^th from 7pm-8pm, or the bowling pin shoot on August 25^th from 7pm-8pm.

In addition to the shooting events available year-round, The Massillon Gun Range at AJ Harris Tactical has teamed up with Alex Lanshe and the Well Armed Woman of Stark County to offer a Personal Protection course on the 2^nd Tuesday of each month from now until November. This class will give participants the opportunity to learn how to protect themselves and their loved ones in a dangerous situation. The goal of the Personal Protection course is to demonstrate why relying solely on firearms training isn’t recommended.
