What’s for dinner tonight? How about some homemade pierogies? Not sure where to find the best Polish food in the Canton, Ohio area? Try The Pierogi Lady, located inside the Hartville Marketplace! She has delicious, made from scratch pierogies and other Polish treats!
Not familiar with what pierogis are? Pierogi is Polish for filled dumplings, and if you are talking pierogies, let’s just say you will be talking…or rather eating til your heart’s content and your tummy is full – filled…just like The Pierogi Lady’s pierogies at the Hartville Marketplace.
First off, The Pierogi Lady has traditional, gourmet, mini, vegan, and even fruit and dessert pierogies. Pierogies for dessert? Who knew? Traditional pierogies include dumplings filled with Yukon gold potatoes, butter, cream, salt, and pepper…add some cheddar and ask for the Potato Cheddar Pierogi or throw in some onions and now you have the Potato Cheddar and Onion. Moving on to the Gourmet variety of pierogies …there is the Potato Cheddar Bacon (Applewood Smoked Bacon that is), Potato Cheddar Jalapeno, and Potato Cheddar Habanero…that one is Hot! Hot! Hot!
Mini’s make great appetizers or party snacks for your next Canton get-together, and come in the ever popular Mini Buffalo Chicken which are filled with chicken breast meat, Franks red hot, mozzarella, provolone, cream cheese, and ranch dressing. The Mini Crab Rangoon is filled with cream cheese, crab meat, and green onions. Don’t forget: pieorgies are perfect for appetizers, great as a meal, but can serve as a perfect way to end the day as a dessert! The Pierogi Lady has fruit and dessert pierogies made with, blueberries, apples, prune butter, apricots, and even—dare we say—some of your favorite candy bars! YUMMMMM!
The Pierogi Lady also has other Polish food for the taking such as Sauerkraut or Rueben Balls, Sweet Peppers stuffed with cream cheese, chopped salami, bacon and pepperoni or a different version but using Jalapeño peppers filled with the same goodness! Seasonal treats are available to, so you might just have to visit The Pierogi Lady inside Hartville Marketplace because you will never know what she might have made that day! However, you can be sure that, whatever it is, it will be wyborny. (That’s delicious in Polish!)
